About Frosty Night

We built a place where the thrill of the game meets the peace of knowing there's nothing to lose.

Entertainment Without the Risk

Frosty Night Playground Hub was founded in 2020 with a single belief: social gaming should be purely about fun. We watched an industry chase ever-more-aggressive monetisation strategies and decided to build something different โ€” a platform where no one ever needs to spend a penny and where the only thing on the line is bragging rights.

Everything we build, from the games to the leaderboard to the community tools, is designed with the player experience first. No dark patterns, no artificial scarcity, no pressure to pay. Just cold nights, warm competition, and the satisfying clink of Frost Coins.

We are a small, independent team distributed across three continents, united by a love of game design, responsible technology, and the particular magic of a winter night sky lit up by the aurora. The platform remains 100% free, and we intend to keep it that way.

Meet the Team

Four people, one shared obsession with building a social gaming experience that players can trust completely.

VF

Vera Frostholm

Chief Executive Officer

Vera has spent fifteen years in the consumer technology space, most recently leading product at a mid-sized social platform in Stockholm. She founded Frosty Night after growing frustrated with platforms that treated their users as revenue units. Her north star has always been player trust, and every company policy reflects it. When she is not thinking about platform integrity, she is cross-country skiing in the Norwegian highlands.

KA

Kasimir Auroras

Chief Technology Officer

Kasimir built his first card game engine at the age of seventeen in Helsinki and never quite stopped. He oversees all engineering at Frosty Night, from the random number generators that power the games to the infrastructure that keeps the platform running during peak-traffic leaderboard nights. Kasimir is a vocal advocate for open-source tooling and maintains several JavaScript game libraries in his spare time.

IB

Ingrid Blizzard

Lead Designer

Ingrid is responsible for the visual language that makes Frosty Night feel unlike anything else on the web. Trained as an interaction designer in Copenhagen, she spent six years at a game studio before joining the team at launch. She draws inspiration from Arctic photography, Scandinavian architecture, and old-school neon signage โ€” a combination that somehow produces exactly the aesthetic you see on every page of this platform.

NG

Njord Glacier

Community Manager

Njord joined Frosty Night in 2021 and has since built one of the most genuinely welcoming communities in social gaming. He moderates the forums, coordinates monthly leaderboard events, writes the platform newsletter, and personally responds to player feedback every single day. Originally from Reykjavik, Njord believes that how a platform treats its community is the truest test of its values โ€” and he holds Frosty Night to that standard rigorously.

Our Values

Three principles guide every decision we make โ€” from how we design the games to how we moderate the community.

🛡

Player Safety First

Every product decision is evaluated against one question: does this make the platform safer and more trustworthy for players? We maintain a mandatory 18+ age gate, display responsible gaming resources on every page, and will never introduce mechanics designed to encourage excessive play. When we discover that a feature could harm players, we remove it โ€” regardless of any other consideration.

We partner with responsible gaming organisations to review our practices annually and publish the results of those reviews for full transparency.

🔎

Radical Transparency

We publish our game return-to-player percentages, explain exactly how our random number generators work, and keep our Terms of Service written in plain language that anyone can understand. There are no hidden fees, no subscription small print, and no monetisation layer buried three levels deep in the settings menu.

If we change how something works, we tell players before the change goes live โ€” not in a legal footnote months later. We believe that trust is built through consistent honesty, not marketing copy.

🏠

Community Over Competition

Leaderboards and competition are fun, but they should never come at the cost of the community's health. We design our competitive features to inspire friendly rivalry rather than toxic pressure. Players can opt out of public leaderboards at any time, and our moderation team enforces a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, unsportsmanlike conduct, or any behaviour that makes other players feel unwelcome.

The Playground only works when everyone in it feels good about being there.
